If you’ve read the headline and are already flexing your fingers ready to write an outraged response on the T&G message boards telling me that I’m more evil than Wario and Bowser’s demonic offspring, let me explain why I think it’s about time that Nintendo’s most famous character is put out to pasture.

I kind of agree with the writer of said article. Mario is the king. Always has, and always will be. Nintendo does not need a new mascot. They have one. Put him on the throne outside of Nintendo HQ and let someone else have the spotlight for a while. But don’t let anyone forget who runs shit in video game land.

I wonder what the world would be like under the evil rule of Sonic? That is of course if he were to win the video game wars of the 90’s.
