the more you play with it, the harder it gets

I don’t know if SEGA was aware of the message they sent to me when I was younger. I guess we can all blame SErvice & GAmes for turning on a generation of young, impressionable boys to grab their joysticks and crank one out. That was when I stopped playing video games IIRC.

Me trying to get away right before getting married on May 31st of this year. If i would have known they were going to stop me, I would have chosen dwarf groomsmen. They would probably have all had pick axes and shovels. The singing of “hi-ho” all goddamn day long would have gotten to me in the end too.

Check the flickr for more photos. I only have about 12 up now as I have to go to work. I am off the next few days so hopefully I can get the rest up.

Enjoy.

While down in Mexico we were able to catch a bullfight. While I do not agree with the killing and all that shit, it is interesting to watch. It’s part of the culture, even though its fucked up. I am in the process of uploading more videos. Some are too big. Hopefully I can get them cut down to the proper size.

Edit: I read it wrong. I thought I was limited to 10 megs, which would mean youtube only allows like 30 second videos. The limit is 10 minutes and 1024 megs, which all of my videos are well under. I have about 11 total.

carlin
ET breaks the news that comedian George Carlin has died from heart failure. The man who made famous the “seven words you can never say on television” passed away at 5:55 p.m. Sunday at Saint Johns Hospital in Santa Monica, his longtime publicist said. He was 71.

Carlin, who has had several heart attacks and a history of cardiac issues, went into the hospital this afternoon after complaining of heart problems.

Carlin has more than 20 comedy albums, 14 HBO specials, numerous TV and movie roles, and three best-selling books to his credit. Last year, he celebrated his 50th year in show business, and he had just finished his last HBO special in March, “Its Bad for Ya.”

PC World - 14 Classic Tech Rivalries
After a North American release through Atari fell through, Nintendo went it alone, unveiling its Nintendo Entertainment System NES at the 1985 Consumer Electronics Show CES. Nintendos Mario, the Mario Brothers sibling originally known as Jumpman, is arguably the best-known and most beloved video-game character in history. By 1990,…

I’m kinda all for SEGA [SErvice & GAmes combined] on this one. Although I am a diehard SNES fan and still have one to this day, SEGA had the gaming “edginess” that everyone wanted. That, and they also got the bloody version of Mortal Kombat.

It was a heated war that no one has seen the likes of since, but it sure was a good one.

Sonic & Knuckles FTW!

Update: New Floating Man-Made Island About to be Open to the Public » ecoble - ecological design, green innovation and environmental sustainability
The original Spiral Island was the talk of the world: a man-made floating island constructed from 250,000 plastic bottles that could drift and relocate as needed until it was destroyed by disaster. Now the new Spiral Island is slated to open to the public within the next few months in Laguna Makax near Isla Mujeres. The new island has drawn in donations, volunteers and visitors from all parts of the world and walks of life - people inspired by what may be one of the most impressive do-it-yourself projects of modern times.
-
Let’s make one. I’d prefer to use recycled beer bottles as that is all i plan on drinking to make this island.

Wii homebrew channel video released - Engadget
We’ve already seen some rudimentary Wii homebrew channel support, but this latest video released by homebrew developer Bushing steps things up considerably, with it turning what was once a curiosity into something that quite a few non-homebrew dabbling folks will likely be eager to get their hands on. As you can see after the break, the channel looks to be about as straightforward as can be, and it apparently includes built-in support for loading ELF and DOL homebrew executables via USBGecko and TCP/IP, in addition to support for loading ‘em off SD cards. Sadly, there’s no word on a release just yet, but we can’t imagine it being kept under wraps for too much longer.

Ill stick with my non modded wii thank you very much. I dont want the big N to release an update and force me to have a $250 brick lying under my television.
